Happy summer! As a Georgia peach lover who adores fresh produce, I’m excited that peaches are in season at farmer’s markets now. Though I’m known for sweet potatoes, peaches are one of my favorite ingredients. Below I’ve gathered a selection of summer peach recipes from my blog that you’ll want to enjoy throughout the season.

Peaches are a juicy stone fruit with origins in eastern China. They offer several health benefits, supporting heart health, digestion, eye health, and immunity, and they’re rich in vitamins, minerals and fiber. You’ll find them at local farmer’s markets or in grocery produce aisles; fresh peaches are best, but canned peaches can work when fresh aren’t available.
Aren’t peach recipes just for dessert?
Not at all. Peaches work beautifully in savory dishes as well as sweet ones. They make excellent sides, appetizers, and toppings. For example, peaches and miso create a silky, balanced salad dressing, or try peaches with corn or beans as a bright topping for crostini or tacos.

But peaches do make a great dessert!
Peach season is one of my favorite times of the year. Peaches are so versatile they appear in both savory and sweet recipes, but let’s be honest—peach pie is unbeatable. A flaky buttery crust filled with sweet, tender peaches and topped with a scoop of vegan ice cream is summer comfort at its best.

My cookbook, Sweet Potato Soul, includes additional peach recipes like peach cobbler breakfast muffins, peach date barbecue jackfruit sliders, and a peach colada. Peaches are in season from May through September—enjoy them throughout the summer and try these recipes while they’re at their freshest.
